COMMON QUESTIONS

WHAT ARE MY CHILDCARE OPTIONS?

We provide childcare during our Sunday Gatherings for children ages 0-5. Our background-checked volunteers ensure that children are loved, cared for, and taught simple, gospel-centered truth. Because we believe children benefit greatly from seeing their parents engage with God and his people, we encourage parents to bring children over the age of 5 into the sanctuary with us. Sojourn is a family of families, and we don’t expect perfectly behaved children! If your child is being disruptive, please don’t be embarrassed. The sound of children is the sound of life and a future!

WHAT HAPPENS ON SUNDAY?

Every Sunday, we sing songs together, we pray both privately and corporately, we hear the Bible preached, and we partake of the sacrament of Communion.

Tell me more about communion.

Every Sunday we take Communion, and in this sacrament, God welcomes His children to share a meal with Him. We believe this meal is for followers of Jesus. In accordance with Scripture, Sojourn offers bread and wine (along with a gluten-free option and a non-alcoholic option).

You can read more about communion here.

WHEN SHOULD I COME?

Sojourn Montrose has one Sunday Gathering at 10:00am. Don't worry about being a few minutes early or late.

WHERE SHOULD I GO?

Sojourn Montrose gathers at the Landmark River Oaks Theatre, one of Montrose’s most iconic venues. On Sunday mornings, be sure to look for the signs and flag that say Sojourn Montrose, along with our anchor logo.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

Parking can be tough in Montrose. Fortunately, Sojourn Montrose has the use of multiple lots. Across the street is a large parking garage that is free to our people. Also, any of the parking in the shopping center is fair game.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Our Sunday Gatherings are casual and familial experiences; we have kids running around and plenty of people from all walks of life. Please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. There’s a good chance our AC will be running in the Theatre, especially during the Texas summer; so if you get cold easily, it might be good to bring a sweater or light jacket with you!
